New design with a central start button
With Windows 11, Microsoft has done away with tiles and placed the Start button in the center of the taskbar. Previously located on the far left, the quick launch bar now resembles Apple's macOS. Overall, the look of the new operating system is more streamlined and modern. Thanks to cloud integration and Microsoft 365, users have direct access to recently used files via the Start menu – even if they were previously opened on an Android or iOS device. Microsoft has also introduced new sounds, icons, and backgrounds.
